We are thrilled to have you aboard. We can't promise we'll be in touch every month...but we'll definitely be in touch whenever something exciting and fun is happening...such as our first ever spinning retreat.
In just over a month, we will be taking to the road again, but not far. We are headed down to Shelby, Michigan to the Blooming Valley Retreat space for a relaxing weekend of spinning, meandering on the trails, uplifting company, and fiber, fiber, and more fiber spinning.
We're gathering our supplies and tools (spindles and fiber) and lesson plans oolala! Claire and Kat will both be in attendance as teachers, helpers, cheerleaders, and just general resources for the beginning spinner. No experience necessary. We will explore how yarn has been made for thousands of years in a gentle learning environment. We will have time for practice and reflexion between class times. Meals are served "boarding house style" prepared by our gracious hosts, Priscilla Tait and Ken Fisher.
Friday, June 3rd - 5th, 2016.
$290/person (total of 9 spaces available - register today!)
Registration fee includes meals (dinner Friday through lunch Sunday), lodgings, tools & supplies (1 drop spindle and approximately 4 ounces of fiber), and all instruction.*
We seek to create a space beyond small talk with connection, communication, and enjoyment of the fiber arts. Come ready to learn, talk, stroll in the woods, gather around the camp circle, and be immersed in the world of fiber spinning.
*there will be additional fiber, tools, and resources available for purchase, but not at all required.
